It’s one thing to build a safari lodge on an island that Habuharo is. It’s also a totally different thing to be involved in the sustainability of Uganda’s natural habitats. We have been hands-on in the sustainability of Lake Bunyonyi since we established our lodge in 2006. We carry out continuous sustainability drives that our guests can be apart of too.
As custodians of Lake Bunyonyi's fragile ecosystem, we have a responsibility to protect and conserve our natural environment and all activities that take place on our island Habuharo. This includes serving our guests organically-grown and freshly-harvested products.
Through our investment in the tourism sector of Uganda, we are committed to job creation, community development, the provision of social services and the preservation of local culture and traditions. We aim to introduce travelers from all over the world to the cultural diversity of Uganda. Through various important community projects and guest experiences, meaningful contacts and cultural exchanges will be initiated.
